Are you on a quest for the cutest cheap swimsuits on the web?
Bathing suit shopping isn’t quite what it used to be. Gone are the days of dressing yourself carefully in an easy-to-remove-40-times outfit, scoping out the local surf shops and department stores, lining up with a bunch of teenagers who you just know are side-eyeing you and wondering what on earth you’re thinking with that (over-priced) frilly 2-piece, subjecting yourself to the harsh change room lights and six mirrors displaying every angle of your body you never wanted to get eye-to-eye with, and pouring your body into scraps of fabric while you pray that nobody will ever have a need to go back and watch the footage being filmed by that creepy security camera overhead.
Unless you’re into that.
No, these days we can hunt down cute cheap swimsuits online, from the comfort of our kitchen table, sipping on fruit punch and reaching out to pet the cat occasionally. We can try them on in the dim lighting of our cosy bedroom, quietly returning what doesn’t fit or suit us, not having to make eye contact with a surly store girl thinking to herself “I knew you were wasting your time trying that one on.”
Shopping for super cute, cheap swimsuits has never been less anxiety-inducing!
When it comes to finding a great cheap swimsuit website, you can’t go past Amazon.
They’re reliable, they’re safe, they deliver quickly, and they house bargains galore!
To help get you started on your cheap swimsuits quest, I’ve rounded up my absolutely favourite finds on Amazon. I have absolutely no authority on fashion in any way, shape or form. I can’t tell you exactly what’s trending on the swimsuit front this Summer.
But I think a lot of us, when picking out a bathing suit, just want something cute, affordable and in line with our personal style.
And these cheap swimsuits will deliver.

Cheap One-Piece Swim Suits
Once upon a time (when I was in high school), one-piece swim suits were just not fetch. They were plain, shapeless, and were either a block colour or a daggy print.
I love that one-piece swim suits have become such a strong, beautiful choice, and have evolved so much style-wise over the years. They’re hands-down my favourite swimsuit style. If you haven’t ventured into one-piece bathing suit territory before, why not dip your toe in the water (pun totally intended) and try one of these cheap swimsuits this Summer?
Black and white horizontal stripes will always be a seriously classic look. Paired with this nice simple cut, this is a swimsuit that won’t be going out of style any time soon.
I’m normally not really a fan of deep V-neck swimsuits but I’ll make an exception for this one. A) because that lace is such a pretty detail, and B) because it’s got those two little criss-cross things holding the V together. No wardrobe malfunctions today! Other colours available.
I love the drama of this massive ruffle-top swim suit. And if I learned anything from the 9 years that I was subscribed to Dolly Magazine (RIP), it is that stripes are super flattering.
LOVE the colours and the simple, low-back cut of this retro rainbow swimsuit. Other colours available.
The flattering rouching, the criss-cross down the chest, the halter-neck and that wine colour? Stunning! Other colours available.
I love the clean, simple lines of this classic one-piece swimsuit, but my very favourite part of it is that juicy PURPLE colour. Other colours available.
This is not the first ruffle on this list, and nor will it be the last. What can I say, I’m a big-time sucker for the old ruff-ruff. Plus the sky blue of this suit slays me. Other colours available.
This black lacy number is sexy without being too revealing, and I really appreciate that. It’s just super pretty. Other colours available.
All the Baywatch vibes! Haha. Can anyone look at a red swimsuit and NOT think of Pamela Anderson bouncing along the beach? It’s not just me, right? Other colours available.
I don’t know what it is about palm trees but they are SO SUMMER to me. This palm tree print swimsuit is absolutely perfect.
I am such a fan of gingham prints, so these baby blue bathers really caught my eye! If you like the cut but gingham ain’t your thing (I believe it can be pretty divisive!) it also comes in a whole other range of SUPER cute colours and designs.
This is SO FUN and I like it SO MUCH. The cut is cute, the colour is fresh, and the lips are sparkly. Boom. Other colours available.
Please note: there are rainbow tassels on this dream boat of a swim suit. RAINBOW. TASSELS. GUYS. Other prints and colours available – including black. And it’s just SMASHING in black.
This floral beauty comes with the added bonus of tummy control. And I love that halter/neckline combo! Other colours and patterns available.
I’ve been a sucker for one-shoulder pieces ever since shopping at Supre in the 90s alongside my tween sisters. Ruffles? Even better. Other colours available.
This stripey tie-up one-piece is just super cute! It also comes in white, with more of a pinstripe design.
I know, I picked another super plungey neckline but I just like it, and I can’t explain why, okay? These stripes are awesome, but this swimsuit also comes in a seriously gorgeous range of other colours and patterns – everything from florals to polka dots to pineapples!
I think it would be impossible for me to create a swim suit round-up without including a retro-style polka dotted piece, because I have admired this style for years. There’s a reason it’s such a classic. Other colours and patterns available.
At first glance I thought this elegant white one-piece was actually a two-piece. I was all ready to list it in my two-piece swim suits section. But I was wrong. I really like that this looks like a high-wasited bikini at the front, but joins at the sides and ties up at the back. Plus white looks absolutely killer with a bit of a tan. Other colours available.
I feel like there’s a lot of red in my one-piece swimsuit picks but I can’t help it. There are just so many killer red swimsuits out this season! Like this elegant babe. Other colours available.
Cheap Two-Piece Swim Suits
Once an opportunity to simply bare as much skin as humanly possible, bikinis are now more about expressing individual style. And while there are still plenty of designs on the skimpy side, there are also many adorable options for those who don’t want to bare all. If you’re a lover of adorable two-piece bathing suits, these cheap swimsuits will almost definitely have you catching your breath.
I love EVERYTHING about this ruched bandeau-style bikini – the apricot colour, the ruffles, the high waist that only offers a bit of a peek of midriff. Ugh. Pretty pretty pretty.
This demure little suit is just super cute, with great lines. And stripes are always a classic!
This polka-dotted tankini doesn’t even look like bathers to me – just a cute Summery outfit (that you happen to be able to swim in!)
The tie-up front, the wider-than-usual straps and the blue and white stripes get a big tick from me. This is a really cute suit. Other colours and patterns available.
Ain’t nothing more patriotic than some good old stars and stripes, and this tankini has them. I love the relaxed fit and the tie-up bottoms. So great.
I love this combination of a flattering black top and a pretty floral bottom. I’ve been noticing a few mismatched pairs of bikinis, and I like them. The shape of the top is a stand out for me – great neckline, great midriff line. Winner winner chicken dinner.
Yellow, ruffles, florals – so many great things in one little swim suit! Other colours and patterns available (the green is also gorgeous!).
This bikini set is perfect for those who love a two-piece but don’t love showing their midriff. I love the flowiness of that top – it sits so nicely against the form-fitting, high-waisted bottom. Other colours and patterns available.
There’s something a bit Minnie Mouse about this adorable 2-piece set and I low-key loooove that. Other colours available.
The tie-up front and the high waist of this black bikini are a flattering combination. Other colours and patterns available.
Peplum tops are a popular, flattering style so it makes sense that the look would translate well to a swim suit! I love the sweet neckline of this peplum tankini, too. Other colours and patterns available.
This one-shoulder, scalloped black bikini is a cute statement piece and a bit fun. Also available in yellow and green.
Cheap Swim Dresses
Though they’re not the most common swimsuit style, I had to include a few swim dresses. I am all for wearing whatever swim suit you want to rock at the beach, regardless of your body shape and size. For me, that just happens to be a swim dress. Do I have a thigh gap? Nobody will know. My swim dress gives away nothing. (Alright, I don’t have a thigh gap. Now you know).
If you’re not familiar with what a swim dress is, it’s basically a one-piece swim suit with an attached skirt over the top. If you’re not cool with your bum and thighs being on display every time you take a dip, swim dresses are a great alternative to throwing on a pair of board shorts over your swim suit.
This Olive Ruched Skirt Swim Dress is elegant and to me, honestly just looks like a really cute sun dress. Other colours available.
LOVE the yellow, LOVE the florals. This is the swim dress I would actually be purchasing if it wasn’t Winter where I am right now. Australia. I’m in Australia. Other colours and patterns available.
This pretty floral-on-black print is just lovely. And I love that V-neckline! Other colours available.
This red and white striped swim dress is like a flattering candy cane. Other colours are available.
I feel like I might be in a cheap swimsuit coma now.
And like, so keen to just drop some dollars on an adorable swimsuit, jet over to whatever warm continent you’re on, internet friend, and head to the beach (or the pool) with you in our matching swimsuits.
Our glorious matching cheap swimsuits.
(In my head, we have both bought the same swimsuit.)
Please note: I have not personally purchased these swim suits and therefore can’t personally guarantee their quality or likeness to product photos. I have, however, only chosen products that have received at least 4 star reviews.
