Have you tried using apple cider vinegar for your hair and skin?
Listen up ladies! For the past few years I have been searching for the best products to help my hair grow faster while keeping it strong and healthy, and keep my skin blemish-free. I feel like I’ve tried everything! It can get exhausting, plus it’s expensive trying new products all the time – and disappointing when it doesn’t make much of a difference!
That’s why I stopped dead in my tracks when I found out that I could use something from my kitchen for better results for my hair and my skin!

My secret? Apple Cider Vinegar!
Yep, I know, I’m obsessed. I mean, you saw my last post where I discussed my morning routine. I may have raved a little about doing a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar every morning. (Seriously. So good. Just do it.)

How to use apple cider vinegar for your face
Twice a week I grab a jar. I Measure out 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 cup of water. Shake up the jar! Leave it on your bathroom sink for ease of access. Easy enough, right?! It takes 2 minutes. Maybe less.
Then simply grab a cotton ball, dip it into the apple-vinegar solution and clean your face. After a few minutes, wash it off with a flannel or in the shower. Too easy! Sometimes I do this every day, sometimes every second day, depending on how much makeup I’ve been wearing, time of month, ya get me?
How to use apple cider vinegar for your hair
When I wash my hair (twice a week), I take my jar of solution into the shower. I wash my hair and after I’ve conditioned it, I run the solution through my hair. Be careful not to get it in your eyes! After a couple minutes, I rinse it out. Voila!
What are the benefits of using apple cider vinegar for skin and hair?
Now that you’re hooked in by how easy this sounds, you’re probably wondering why you should do it. What are the benefits?
Well, the Apple Cider Vinegar works as a natural toner that returns the skin to a natural pH level – in comparison to soap which can put it way out of its natural pH level.
And for your hair? Once again, it returns your scalp to the preferable pH level of around 5. It also works as an antibacterial, and is said to aid hair growth.
I know a lot of people are sceptical about home-made products, but I would rather put something natural on my skin than all the chemicals that are found in expensive little bottles. I tried it, and have seen huge improvements in my husband’s skin and my skin… and my hair is finally growing!
Don’t knock it till you try it!
My advice for buying apple cider vinegar is to get organic with the ‘mother’. This is a great brand I love that is available at Coles and Woolworths (for Australians). For those outside of Australia, pick it up on Amazon here.
Oh, and Apple Cider Vinegar is really yummy as a homemade salad dressing too. But that’s for another time!
Good luck, and remember – keep it out of your eyes!

Ugh. I love this. I use apple cider vinegar for SO many things! Immune boost (add apple juice, honey, ice cubes and a drop or 2 of Thieves), Face Serum (with Aloe Vera, witch hazel, Cedarwood and Lavender) and yes salad dressing! Thanks for this post!
Wow! Sounds amazing, you’re all over it Keren! And why am I not surprised 🙂
I couldn’t agree more! Apple cider vinegar has been a game-changer for my hair and skin. Its natural acidity helps balance the pH levels, leaving my hair shiny and my skin clearer than ever. It’s truly a beauty elixir worth trying! Thanks for sharing your top beauty secret!
